Managing Your Image Online

The information about your business that is on the internet has a tremendous impact on how successful you are. In fact, it is one of the most important parts of your marketing plan. It’s important to take steps to actively advance the online reputation of your business. Luckily, there are resources where you can learn how to do this. One man, Tyler Collins, has published a book aimed at helping businesses to manage their image online. This book is very easily available, through e-commerce sites. For those that aren’t able to read the whole book, he gives a few simple tips that any business owner can benefit from.

First, he says that you need to get to work on creating a good online reputation right away. The business should be designed in such a manner that will lend itself to a good online image. Additionally, the goal should be to have positive information about your business within the first page of search results. As soon as your business is started, you should be thinking about how it can successfully occupy the first ten results.

Invariably, there will be some bad information that finds it’s way into the search results. However, this isn’t necessarily the end of the world. Negative information can be successfully pushed back in the search results, and it can be replaced with positive information instead. This can help you to recover the good image that your business had. Additionally, it is important to manage the reputation of all of those involved in running the business. Do not just focus on the image of the business itself, because the two are very closely connected.

Whistleblowers Now Get Top Gun Legal Help

One of the responsibilities of the SEC is catching securities laws violations. Often, it is possible because there are whistleblowers- people who are willing to expose such violations.

The 2008 financial crisis has dealt a serious blow to the American economy and tens of millions of individuals. As a result, Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act was passed by Congress in 2010. This act led to a new whistleblower program, providing employment protection as well as financial incentives.

Under the new rules, whistleblowers qualify for 10-30% of the sanctions collected by SEC as a result of the information provided if these sanctions are above $1 million. When it comes to large financial institutions such fines can go into tens of millions, if not more.

There’s also a possibility to report violations anonymously as long as a SEC whistleblower is represented by an attorney.

In response, Labaton Sucharow became the first law firm in the United States with a focus on protecting and advocating for the whistleblowers. A team of experienced investigators, analysts, and forensic accountants that have federal and state law enforcement experience is provided for such cases.

This team is led by Jordan A. Thomas, who formerly was an Assistant Director and Assistant Chief Litigation Counsel at the SEC. While there, Mr. Thomas contributed to the Whistleblower Program.

When it comes to exposing violations, the initial consultations and evaluations are free of charge. Additionally, confidentiality is protected by the attorney-client privilege.

Labaton Sucharow is a law firm which also specializes in litigations related to financial products and services, corporate governance and shareholder rights, mergers and acquisitions, antitrust and competition, consumer protection, and related areas.

According to company’s website, Labaton Sucharow “prosecutes precedent-setting class actions, recovering billions of dollars on behalf of defrauded consumers and investors.”

For the past ten years, this firm was recognized by The Legal 500 U.S. Annual Guide as one of the best plaintiffs litigation firms. As The Legal 500 stated, the firm “litigates hard and has a great investigations team.”

Presently, the firm employs 60 full-time attorneys and is based in New York City and Wilmington, Delaware.
